Spoils of the day

A beggar down on the accurately named Beggar Street in Wazir Akbar Khan, a short distance from the Presidential Palace and the Diplomatic area of the city, working out the day’s take late on a Friday afternoon. There are often up to a dozen beggars on the short 300m of the road. Some weaving between traffic as it speeds past either side of them, some on the side of the road. Whether it is drugs, homeless, lack of a job all are heartbreaking stories.
